About Photo Privacy Eraser
When you take photos with your phone, they automatically store lots of private information (called EXIF Metadata), including your exact location, capture time, and device used. Removing this data before sharing can protect your privacy.
- GPS Removal: Prevent others from tracking your home or frequented locations through photos.
- Camera Info Removal: Hide your phone or camera model.
- Client-side Processing: Photos never leave your browser. No server upload.
- Batch Processing: Process multiple photos at once and download as ZIP.
What is EXIF?
EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is a metadata standard stored in photo files. It contains GPS coordinates, date/time, camera model, aperture/shutter settings and more. While useful for photographers, it can leak your privacy when shared on social media.
